Nationwide Exchange Clubs annually award a local citizen for their community service with the Book of Golden Deeds. The Exchange Club of Salem has renamed our award the Ernie Savage Award in honor of a former member and local businessman. Ernie Savage owned a children’s shoe store and was known for his caring and generosity. Our honorees are also known for their community caring and service.
